What to Expect as a Guest

Once you schedule your call, you’ll receive a calendar invite via email.

You will also get an email with the SquadCast recording session link from Your First Digital Product with email address invite@squadcast.fm. I will also include the link in the talking points that I email you a few days prior to the interview.

Calls are 60 minutes and consist of:

  • A 5-10 minute pre-recording chat
  • 30-45 minutes of recording including introductions, questions and wrap-up
  • A 5-minute post-recording chat

Your First Digital Product is a video-first show, so make sure you’re video-ready. Other necessities are headphones and/or a microphone, a quiet room and a drink.

Talking Points

It’s best when the conversation flows organically, but I do like to have a few questions as a framework.

If you’ve already created your first digital product:

  • Tell us about it!
  • Who was your audience and what problem did the product solve for them?
  • What did you learn?
  • What do you recommend to someone who is creating their first digital product?
  • Remember, the purpose of the interview is not solely to promote your digital product, rather to share the experience of creating one

If you haven’t yet created your first digital product:

  • What are you thinking of creating?
  • Who is the audience?
  • What problem does your product solve?

I’ll email you some specific talking points a day or two before the show.

Sharing

I try to give an approximate date for when your episode will launch. The day it launches (on a Tuesday), I will email you with all the links and graphics. Feel free to share however best works for you and your audience.

I share on LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, YouTube and with my email list. I’ll tag you if you are on those platforms as well.

Additional Information

I don’t do any heavy editing on my interviews but can remove sections as needed. Just let me know if there’s something specific you’d like me to cut after we record.

At my discretion, I may not publish an episode or remove an episode once published.
