Action + clarity, physical products and all the emotions that come with creating products

Hey Reader,

I love interviewing people about their digital product journeys. No two paths are the same BUT there are commonalities.

In the last two interviews, both Shawn and Kim talked about gaining clarity by taking action.

I love planning (and maybe you do, too). Planning is great – it’s good to know where you’re going and how you want to get there, but sometimes we just have to do the thing to be able to gain more clarity.

Here’s a quick rundown of the episodes from October 🎃

[Solo] Dealing with disappointment in your first digital product. Digital products are not all rainbows and bubbles and baskets of kittens and buckets of money. There are a couple of different ways that you may experience disappointment with your digital product and in this episode, I talk about three of them. Watch or listen to episode 37.

[Interview] Living her mantra, “Action Creates Clarity” with Shawn Fink. Shawn is a business coach who advises her clients to act because action creates clarity. Learn how she has embodied this mantra with her first and second businesses and the digital products she’s created over the years. Watch or listen to episode 38.

[Solo] Exploring the wheel of emotions on your journey to your first digital product. In the last solo episode, I talked about dealing with disappointment in your digital product, but that’s not the only emotion you may feel. In this episode, I explore the wheel of emotions and identify others you may encounter on your journey. Watch or listen to episode 39.

[Interview] Continuous learning and experimentation in business with Kim Doyal. Kim has been a serious student of marketing for as long as she’s been in business. She also walks her talk and gets “clarity through the doing.” In this episode, Kim also shares her love of physical products and how she’s been offering those from the very beginning. Watch or listen to episode 40.

[Solo] Maximizing your website for converting digital products. I posted a question on Twitter and Threads recently that I was planning solo episodes. I asked, what are you interested in learning about digital products? Fatima responded and said, maximizing your website for converting digital products. I love to talk about websites and have a ton of tips for you in this episode. Watch or listen to episode 41.

Thanks for tuning in!

P.S. I have a goal to have 25 market research calls by the end of 2023. If you’re creating, launching or marketing a digital product, could we jump on a 15-minute call so I can learn more about you? No sales, no pitches.
